Are there more bumps? Although I'm not 100% on this, I would have guessed a strep throat to be red and inflamed... not a white bump. Although you might have an infection on top of something else.
If the white-ness is more patchy, it could be candida (yes you can get it in your throat), but in a young, otherwise healthy individual this is pretty unlikely.
My guess is it's just a bad ulcer in a bad location. Gargle with mouthwash and try to keep your mouth as clean as possible. It should go away eventually. You'll just have to bear the discomfort for a little while and stick to liquids if you can't swallow very well. If it doesn't improve in a couple of days, then you might want to see someone.

Definitely sounds like strep throat. The white spots will probably increase, you probably have more but you just can't open your mouth up far enough to be able to see. If it is, you need antibiotics. If you wait and don't get help, your throat could close up, you won't be able to breath and die. Seriously.
Happened to me, I waited, didn't know much about anything. The ER told me I prob. would have died about a 1/2 hr later if I'd of waited any longer.

It could be, or an allergic reaction to anything that you may have taken or come in contact with. You really should go to you personal doctor or the ER ASAP. I do hope you are okay, but let us know how you are and what the physician say's it is.

My wife's diagnose is there's a sorethroat in your pharynx. You can take a glass of herbal aloe comcentrate (a product from herbalife) or use an antiseptic mouthwash. or take a high dose vit C (1000 mg). But if you in doubt, consult your doctor. get well soon.

Do you chew? It could be a tumor, if thats the case. I'd check wikipedia or webmd. I'm no doctor, just some suggestions.
