I have several times now waken up in the middle of an orgasm. And wasn't dreaming about anything sexual at all. I am married and have a very normal sex life. The dreams aren't about anything really specific, are not about any particular people and aren't the same dream over and over. What's going on?

Good answers so far.. And yes, it was a little difficult to explain to my husband because you'd of course think that I was dreaming of "someone". But, now he thinks it's kinda funny. ( and it's not like I'm in all out throws of passion, oooing and aauhhing.. )

I don't know about orgasm, but it doesn't really matter what the dreams are. While asleep, men often get erections and women have increased vaginal blood flow. It's pretty normal.

EDIT: To Urban: You do know that orgasms can be painful, correct?

Wet dreams are inspired by demonic spirits. Demonic spirits works through your flesh to bring about wet dreams. They do not have to be inspired by anything sexual in nature. It can be something that think about over and over, but it become excessive. For example, there was a song I used to hear on t.v. I would let the song play over and over in my head at night, and then I would have a wet dream. 30 minutes later, I let the song play over and over in my head again. Then I had a another wet dream. This was a children's song. It had nothing erotic or immoral. But failure to exercise "self control" (which is sin) allow a demon to work through my flesh to bring about the wet dreams. But demons work through issues and avenues in your life to produce these dreams and they do not have to be sexual issues. Sounds crazy but it's true.
