If one can't exist without the other then did Satan's rebellion really take place to start evil if God intended for it to happen?

God only created Good. When He formed the world he called it good. Evil is the absence of good. The further you move from good the closer you get to evil.
Here is a good essay on evil.

The first step in answering the problem of evil is this: We've got to get clear on what this thing "evil" actually is. It does seem to follow that if God created all things, and (if) evil is a thing, then God created evil. This is a valid syllogism. If the premises are true, then the conclusion would be true as well.

The problem with that line of reasoning is that the second premise is not true. Evil is not a thing. The person who probably explained it best was St. Augustine, and then Thomas Aquinas picked up on his solution. Others since them have argued that evil has no ontological status in itself.

The word ontology deals with the nature of existence. When I say that evil has no ontological status, I mean that evil, as a thing in itself, does not exist.

Let me give you an illustration to make this more clear. We talk about things being cold or warm. But coldness is not a thing that exists in itself; it has no ontological status. Coldness is the absence of heat. When we remove heat energy from a system, we say it gets colder.

Hello and where did you get your idea from one can not exist without the other is for sure was NOT from The Holy Bible, when mankind was first created it was without sin, Adam and Eve enjoyed open talks with there Creator and in John 1 we understand that the person who came to save us is The Second member of The Godhead Jesus Christ which was the same person, and in Gen. 3 when mankind sinned God asked A question, and when God asks a question it is ALWAYS for OUR information NOT His, He asked [and by the way its the first question God asks in The Bible] "where are you" now being God He knew there physical location, He was rather wanting to asks them, okay now that you have sinned against me where are you in your relationship with me? Jesus gave up His divine body to come on a rescue mission because as it were mankind unplugged the plug of life Jesus came to give up His life, to pay a debt He did not owe because we owed a debt we could not pay. After raising from The Dead Jesus kept His human body "WITH" the marks He got while here not just for the 33 or so years while here BUT FOREVER, WOW look at what it did to your creator, YES we can DO WITHOUT SIN, find out more free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

If we are to believe God had created every being, even Satan then yes God is both good and evil. But that in the process eliminates in my mind an "Omnipotent" god that christians profusely preach about their divine creator. How the hell can he be so when he created the "Devil"?
