That seems far too young. I was always under the impression that odors didn't become a huge issue until a child approached puberty.

I do not think it is a good idea. Most deodorants have aluminum in them and that is not good for anyone. Do not cook with aluminum, or use foil wrap to cover any hot dishes as they are cooking that discoloration that comes on the underside of the foil is the aluminum coming off onto the food, and dill pickles with alum...short for aluminum. We must watch the labels on food. It is the main cause of Altzheimer when you get older. There are herbal deodorants in health food stores which work just fine
If he has a body order get some Aloe Vera Juice found in Health Food Stores and he can take an ounce a day, straight, or in juice or in water. It will clear his system out of the toxins that are building up in his body. If you want an article about the many uses of Aloe Vera send an email to me at newbegin@shaw.ca It is too long an article to send on here. Also tell me where you live I am so enjoying helping people all over the world,

Normally I would say yes...but I was talking to a couple friends of mine about this the other day. Both of them have daughters that are very active and they both started wearing deodorant at a young age. Madisen was 3...yes I said 3...and Zoie was 5. I guess it depends on how active the child is and if they do indeed get a little smelly without using it. I don't think it's harmful at all to the child.

Depends. If he's doing it behind his other parents back, then it shouldn't be allowed. However, some children do "stink" and need deodorant. Deodorant doesn't hurt the child so it's not a huge deal. If he really wants to wear it, let him as long as both parents agree. You don't want a little issue like deodorant turn into a battle.

They start out younger all the time. I would have thought it was young but kids are starting puberty earlier and it won't be that long before he really needs it. If he starts now, by the time he needs deodorant, it'll be such an ingrained habit that he'll never forget it.

Nah. Especially if he plays a lot. Kids get sweaty too! I think more kids should wear deodorant because a lot of parents say they don't need it but when you're in a play place with a bunch of kids running around, it gets a little musty! Plus, you don't want them to think that deodorant is "bad" for them. I don't think it's ever too early to start good hygiene. If a kid wants to use deodorant, I don't see why they shouldn't.

yea he is way to young maybe you should talk to him and say that using deodorant can damage your skin at the age you are at. if he is using it ask him why and tell him not to use it im 13 and I can barely put it on because my skin is so dry so I have to use certain types so I have no idea how he is using it

When both my kids were little, they loved to wear deodorant. It made them feel bigger. It's not a big deal.

Absolutely too young. It's not a good idea until the later grade school years because they don't need it and it might irritate their skin.

it depends on the brand and how much..remember a child's skin is sensitive.so as long as it is monitored it should be alright.
