does operation for golfers elbow cure the condition & how long will i be off work?

Hi I've had an operation on both tennis elbow and golfers elbow. I originally had tennis elbow and tried everything that my GP suggested even having my arm in plaster for 6 weeks. None of which worked. The inflammation spread around my elbow resulting in the golfers elbow also.
I was offered the operation but without a 100% guarantee.
They did the tennis elbow first and about 8 weeks later the golfers elbow.
Depending on your job will depend when you can go back, I was a cashier and went back to work 8 weeks after the 2nd op.
I am now 12 years on and have never had any problems with my elbow since. I will say however that initially after the operation was extremely painful.

I hope this will help, I was very worried about going ahead with it, but if you have tried everything else what have you got to lose.

I had Golfers Elbow and is was a real pain in the ***. Anyway I had it injected several times and then the Doc said 'No More', so that was it. I then went to Pilate's and told the PT that I have this Golfers Elbow. She showed me how to cure it, I did as told and over time it got better and now CURED!
My Doc cannot believe how easy it went and is now sending all his other Patients to Pilate's. Glad I did not go for the surgery, prefer to fix it myself if I can. Good Luck

That's a new one on me I've heard of tennis elbow & knitters elbow if its the same it should clear up on its own unfortunaly you have to give up the past time

while i became an extremely youthful guy I set myself the job of adjusting into an extremely adverse guy, and with the help of God I even have succeeded previous my wildest targets. My poverty tiers are such that I could desire to withhold monitory money to my team besides as pensions, affliction advantages etc, so as that i will arise with the money for this years Bentley. and could I say, dammit, that i'm decreased to eating a marginally indifferent '32 Chateau Margeaux. Such is existence. As a parting assertion, which, i've got faith valuable which you will no longer have faith, yet I even have had to curtail this years annual trip on Mustique to 6 weeks quite of the known 8 weeks. existence is so damned unfair.

Apparently not and that is why I left mine,it eventually went on its own
