Regarding Madeleine Mcann I think it was a case of ME ME time and out of sight out of mind. Do you think the parents should be prosecuted for leaving toddlers alone? i do!

You never, ever leave toddlers alone. Even if it means you never have time to yourself. It's what you sign up for when you have kids, and if you can't deal with it then don't have kids.
My toddler plays in her room alone occasionally but I'm within earshot so it's really not alone. I surely would never leave her in the house and even go across the street...you just never know what they're getting into.
So yes! I'm all for prosecuting parents who are stupid and selfish like that.

Yes, I do! Its tragic what happened, but this poor child is paying for her parents stupidity. I'm sorry, who in their right mind leaves a 4 year old and twin 2 year olds alone in a hotel room in a foreign country while they go out to dinner??? I don't care how many times they came to check on them, thats insane, and obviously it wasn't enough, cause look what happened! I don't know why the media, etc. is not focusing on this fact at all. And I hope this is a lesson everyone in the world takes to heart.

Its sad for the parents but we must think about the future and let it be a lesson for us all.That is to hire a babysitter if you want to have a night out in the motel in a country otherwise if you cant then you need to take the kids with you.

I think maybe the children should get took away. Providing nothing bad happened to the children while they left them alone. If something did happen to them they should get them took away and the court should decide what type of punishment they will receive.

hopefully they do get in trouble im in jax,fl where the one toddler was left last year she drank toliet water and ate ketchup to survive those folks got in trouble but not sure if got jail time

heh. so if you got kids your life and your time is gone? that's what yer saying. if they are in a safe place and occupied it don't hurt to let them have short alone time every now and again
