"The Bible says it, I believe it, and that settles it!" That's probably going to be the jist of most of the answers you receive. Of course, the Bible also says to honor the Sabbath, to stone prostitutes and other "sinners", not to suffer a false prophet to live, and not to eat many of the meats we commonly eat today, including pork. Anyone still wanna stand by "The Bible says it, I believe it, and that settles it."?

What proof do I have that heaven exists? Easy: since the day my dad died three years ago, I see him all the time. He comes to visit me, and he gives me advice and encouragement. Before you go off thinking that I am some mental case, let me just tell you that before he died... even the very same day he died, I didn't believe in that sort of thing happening. Now it is so common an occurrence that it no longer surprises me. And the most important thing I have learned is that the work of every single person in heaven is to help the people who are still alive, especially the people from their family and other people they love.
What's my definition of heaven? A place where ALL sorrow and emotional pain will be healed. A place of perfect love, compassion and wonderful peace. A place where there are no enemies or anything hurtful.

No proof at all. There are no passages in Scripture that talk about going to heaven. The Bible consistently teaches that salvation takes place on earth. The Greek word for heaven just means "sky" (in either a literal or figurative sense).

With the biblical gods terrible track record on it's heavens and it's creations I really don't think Hell would be so bad.

Have faith that heaven exists. You may just find it. Heaven is different for everyone. For me, it is a beautiful sinless perfect paradise. Just a thought.

its a kind of contentment that i cant define since ive never experiened it. i mean, ive never experienced outer space before, but i would imagine its quiet and dark.
i think the first question you ask, though, is inconsistent with "what is you def...?"
i dont need proof when i have faith. but proof is also pointless sometimes: neither one of us has truth beyond a doubt that we ourselves exist. modern philosophy has been asking this since des cartes.
