what is your purpose of asking when you don't even want to know about God, yet you utter many unnecessary words against God. You don't respect our God so be it. What if you don't believe God as long as we have done our part to inform you about God

It's the pursuit of what's known as a 'testable hypothesis' - something used by rational people to examine claims but totally unfamiliar to those who blindly accept whatever they're told.
When various claims are made about this being called 'God' one can make testable hypotheses to the effect of, "If claim (A) about God is true, one would rationally expect (B)." When (B) is not observed, it is reasonable to ask why. Simply dismissing those who ask such things as 'close minded' or 'hateful' or whatever the fashionable hand-waving of the week is; is not an answer, and moreover is haughty and un-Christian.
A *TRUE* faith is not threatened by such questions and has no need to retaliate with spiteful comments. The Gospels teach that God will give you the wisdom to answer, if you trust Him. Evidently you don't really believe God will help you do this, and so resort to human (i.e. sinful) responses.

God is loving but, what I completely misunderstood for way too long is, He does things when He feels we are ready for them. Or, the answer is no. He says no because it is not the right thing for us to do, or it might possibly cause other problems with something else.
I was MAD at God for a long time. 2-3 yrs is a long time to be angry. I yelled and threw things at the walls. Because my life wasn't working the way it should have.
But, it did work out just the way it was suppose to work out. I honestly believe this.
Life is never going to be easy. We were not promised a easy life. We aren't given a road map to know where we are going tomorrow or the next day. This can be a little bit scary for some people. Especially when your angry at God. And stop sharing your thoughts, and praying to Him.
Now we're good~

I think the real reason why people who say that they don't believe in God is really they are saying that they might be willing to concede the possibility of God if they thought He was always good, merciful and loving... it's the same problem that even people who have a LOT of faith struggle with sometimes. There are times when it is very hard to see why God would allow some things that happen in the world and personally, especially to the young and the innocent and the good. But even that just comes from not quite wanting to face that we aren't intended to live forever. This life is short and full of sorrows, as we know altogether too well. It still just comes down to a fear or a suspension of belief that God could possibly be good when all of this wretchedness exists. It's almost as if the very souls of these people are crying out, "SHOW ME! MAKE ME BELIEVE HE'S THERE AND HE'S GOOD...if you can do it, then I could believe..." Which means no matter what, there is hope for them, and God REALLY WILL prove Himself faithful to them in the end. Even if they NEVER believe He will! Because HE IS as just, and as merciful and as loving as the bible says He is. We exist just because He loves us... and we will continue to exist forever for the very same reason. In the end, the true heart of every person alive, even atheists will be at peace, at last healed from the painful struggle of trying to understand this world.

Mr who, did you notice that alot of these answers are declaring that GOD does not exist? I think that is funny...You see no one can "reasonably" make that declaration, for no one possesses all the knowledge in the universe. An unbiased thinking person would say that based on their very limited knowledge of the universe I believe that there is no GOD. Only a puny brain would declare that there is no GOD when the universe is so enormous.

The problem is that religion constantly tells us that God is a loving God and then we witness things that indicate the opposite. How can a loving God not intervene when priests are destroying the lives of so many children? How can a loving God allow so many of the people that He loves be killed because religions can't agree on God?

Silver & Summer summed it up perfectly. They claim to be "free-thinkers", but are inwardly nervous that God actually does exist. They then find that by bashing a Christian, they're able to justify their own inadequacies and unfulfilled spiritual life. In other words, it makes them feel better to hear others defend what they believe in...because the askers of those questions are ashamed that they believe in nothing, and they need something to make them feel better about themselves and their poor decision making capabilities.
...the rest are just hostile people, and are trying to get a rise out of anyone they can by saying the most offensive thing to a Christian that they can. Namely, that God doesn't exist. They claim their judgment is definitive, just as the Christians do, then somehow get offended by someone who prefers to believe in a higher power.

You cannot have good without bad.
That is proof enough that God exists.
If God does not exist, then how do you explain the rules we have been commanded to live by all these yrs? Did ppl just jump up & start making rules?
If God did not exist, there would be only chaos & darkness.

Maybe they are really trying to find answers. I know some of them aren't but some really are. I asked a question like that one time and I was serious. I got some nasty answers and some serious answers. Don't just assume they are all bad questions.

I can only speak for myself but when something does not make sense to me, I ask a question.
I'm sure Christians and other theists do this too without anything more malign than curiosity.
