My best friend is turning 40. Her husband & I are trying to plan this. Actually, he's kind of put this all on me, but I don't care. I plan - he's paying (but tight on money) Nascar theme - huge JG fan! Huge! It's at a hall - we have to bring everything, right down to silverware. Got people who will help decorate, but I only have 2 1/2 hrs to do it. Got the cake all set, I think.
Any suggestions? It's in 1 (one) month !! Any help would be appreciated!

go to ur local bakery and get ur JG cake and then go to a nascar store and see what u can find in decorations to put up around the place. ou can also try the party store if u have one in ur area, they always have themed hats, cups, plates, napkins and table clothes but i'm not sure if they have the Nascar theme but it is worth the trip or even a phone call annd make sure u have lots of red , white, and blue 24s

Here's a thought,(i'm not saying a good one)Tell all the invited guests about your friends love of Nascar and Gordon, ask them to each bring some sort of Nascar memorbilia, like a die-cast or whatever. This can be in leiu of gifts or not.Whatever they feel like.Ask them not to wrap them and put all the Nascar stuff all over the hall.Dont forget the black balloons.Oh and there should only be 24 candles on the cake.

What we did for a bday on a budget is go to the search and type in Discount nascar party supplies you will be able to find cheap things. Also not sure were you live but if you have a Dollar tree were everything is a dollar you can find great deals on party supplies there.

think costume party!
Nascar fans seem to love to dress as their favorite driver anyway, and with you calling it a costume party, they will lose any inhibitions about it and dress accordingly. That will help decorate more than you could in 2.5 hours.

you might try orientaltradingco.com as they may have some items for a reasonable cost.
try going to J.G. web site and determine if a specific gift is available for a reasonable cost. such as a personally autographed photograph.
most drivers and crews I know are more than happy to accommodate the fans because without us they wouldn't have jobs.
Good Luck !!!!!

Oh you say its a Jeff Gordon theme. Thats easy just invite the cast of queer eye for the straight guy since them and Gordon have alot in common. Hell maybe if Jeffy boy knew that he might attend with Johnson. Good luck

If you live anywhere near a track, contact them to see if one of their racers might be willing to bring a car to the party. maybe just a showcar, but I would be thrilled if that was done for me.
