If so, I'd like to see it.

It sounds more like an old wive's tale to me.

My skin's pretty good, and I haven't been celibate for at least 25 years. Just thought I'd point that out.

well, having done extensive research on the subject i can joyfully answer that having plenty of sex with me in particular is actually very good for your complexion. it also aids in preventing a very painful male condition known as blueballs, which guys get if they don't have sex often enough. no matter how much a guy gets, it's usually not near enough though.

Well theres probably not much of a correlation between abstinance and your complexion. I think good diet and exercise are better for your complexion than whether you have sex or not. Now if you get an std from having sex, that could cause a blood disease which would be VERY Bad for your complexion. Now supposing that both parties start out as virgins and this is their first time than the
sex might actually help their complexion because of increased blood circulation from the sexual activity. In any case exercise and diet are better predictors of a good complexion.

After exhaustive internet searches (with a lot of time being distracted by certain ummm..."informational" websites) I can't find any evidence for that claim. There is, however, a lot of information about the benefits of the exposure of skin to semen. Of course, these articles are all written by men, so I'm not sure whether they had an ulterior motive :-) Funny you said this was an old wive's tale, because I'm wondering why old wives would be spreading this kind of story.

I once heard an argument that sex helps the complexion. Two parts to why,
1) if energetic it makes you sweat which helps clear pores.
2) it relieves stress which can lead to break outs

Are old wives generally that abstemious?
I can't see that as ..well..it's a fact that orgasms release hormones that are good for your skins condition. There are other benefits too.
Does she have scientific proof to back up her statement or was she just spouting?

They say that because when you have an orgasm your face (cheeks) turn red and hot, and that could make your pores open a little bit, but if you have a good and regular cleaning of your face, sex will not be an issue...be careful of the saliva near your mouth, that could make you breakout

There is absolutely no truth to that--whether or not you have sex does not effect your complexion. Sex is the most natural thing a human can do. Your body's chemistry, if anything, will be the one thing to determine your complexion.
