Where are some good places in and around Chicago to hunt, and if so, what game is available for hunting? If possible, can you give me the name of a site that could get me a hunting license, etc...?

Most game animals are plentiful in Illinois. You have good hunting within an hour of Chicago. The problem would be in getting permission since most land suitable for hunting is privately owned.
If you are willing to spend the money, there are a number of guide services that will provide a hunting trip for you. They are not cheap, however. Probably the best county in Illinois to hunt whitetail deer is Pike County. It usually has the highest kill and largest deer. I have hunted there for 17 years, but we have the land within our family so our cost is not much.
Pike county is about a 5 hour drive from Chicago. Costs for these outfitters can run anywhere from 800.00 to 2,000.00 for 3 days of hunting in that county. You can get outfitter information on line and many of them are rated by past hunters. The one outfitter that surrounds our land is named Hadley Creek outfitters.
We have taken 107 deer on our land in 19 years. We usually hunt about 6-7 people.

if u go to southern illinois like around the tip next to the kentucky boarder there is good white tail hunting
