I know the illegals cannot vote. But my father came here legally from overseas, became a citizen. But he was not against his old country. He still had very passionate feelings about it, and the people there. So, by giving amnesty to the illegals are they pinning their hopes on buying the vote from all the Mexican citizens here who can vote? They have pride in their heritage, and I don't begrudge them that. I have pride in my heritage too. But my theory is, that by allowing amnesty to people who share that heritage, they will sew up the Mexican vote in America.
Any thoughts on this? I mean, there must be a payoff for allowing 20 million people amnesty who came here by breaking the laws of this country.
Before everyone says that the news is saying 12 million, that is a rather light estimate. I get mine from the counters here.

Thank you for any insightful opinions on my theory.

Well that is what it is all about... and unfortunately there are some Republicans that have fallen for this "lust" for power. These people all know the numbers and they know the effect these people have on our resources and government programs and crime, yet they SELL THEIR SOULS just to gain or keep power... What do they have to worry about? Most people in power are wealthy enough that the decisions they make for the "little people" won't effect them. The balance come in the knowledge that it is the "little people" that keep them in power.... so they pander and they entice the masses, usually the lower class, with promises of great care and government programs... however, these promises only keep them at the poverty line.. if that. It keeps them wanting more... the conservatives way is different.. you have to apply yourself and work for it... it is not handed to you... when you work for it you gain pride, you become more knowledgeable and you start to become independent... not dependent... this does not bode well for the libs... they are finally starting to lose the black and now they need a new group to target... a needy group that wants to leech of the government programs... and believe me... they will find every way possible to get them in the voting booths... If they can get dead people there... they can get illegals there!

I do believe your question is relevant. It is understood that the minority vote goes to the democratic side and this could be viable purpose for supporting the illegal immigration. We have laws that must be followed, they are just not being enforced. The lib organizations are the first to cry out when I.C.E. tries to enforce laws. On the other hand, I am a strong conservative but have huge issues with Bush hiding from this issue. He has been too soft on this enormous strain on every facet of our country. The vote is power.

I have news for you, Illegal immigrants do vote. Over 10 years ago Bob Dornan allegedly lost to Loretta Sanchez due to illegal immigrants voting. The court system did find there was voting fraud involving illegal immigrants, but refuse to demand a revote, because they could not assertain how extensive this fraud is. Bob Dornan lost by over a hundred votes. I was not so mad at illegal immigrants voting as much as the response of Loretta Sanchez. When they question her about illegal immigrants voting, she said so what. I believe, but with very little proof, that their are party bosses that are selling votes like they did in the moving Gangs of New York. Its not as extensive, but thats my fear. Thats why its a big deal to me, despite Loretta Sanchez callus remark on teh subject.

The payoff is $$, cheap labor for businesses and in turn the businesses donate generously to political campaigns. If "libs" are using this as a way to increase votes in their favor they are not thinking very far into the future when the bill has to be paid for this whole fiasco.
