Christianity is a religion. Religion is a very important part of society and culture. It is no surprise that religion is a sub-category. To divide that up more to all the different religions would begin to get a little silly after a while. If someone's religion was left out, someone would complain that it was discrimination.

Being Christian is only politically correct so long as you don't have any morals that you hold to. So any real Christians out there aren't allowed to have their own category because of this.

Because Christianity is a religion so that is why it is under "religion." But it would be great if they had one.

there would be no difference in that section as this one. It's set up that way.
Think about it - if there were, all of the non-believers would come in anyway, just to state their own opinions :)
