I'd recommend using laminated foam poster board. It is easy to cut with a razor blade and is rather sturdy. Use a hot-melt glue gun to attach the pieces. (or just start with tape on the back-side) The boards come in a variety of sizes, and are available at Walmart and just about any office supply store.

If you're lucky, you can find find a good photo of the front of Graceland. Just print it out and attach it to the foam board.

The link below might do the trick for your project.

In general, anything that will stand up to whatever it will be subjected to. A nice material is the modern illustration board made by laminating plastic foam with coated paper. It is light and easy to cut (far more so than say 1/8-inch-thick cardboard). The paper surface will take inks and paints well.

I have made models from thin sheets of foam, but the surface is rough. It takes glue readily, though, and people throw the stuff out (free).

If you have the money and want a really nice model an architech supply house is where to go.
If you want something inexpensive use a thin sheet of dry wall from a building supply place e.g. Home Depot
