Came about because of a debate Kirk Cameron had with an atheist. They were discussing evolution.
Kirk asked why if evolution is true, why do we never see evolution "in progress" - evidence of it actually happening, if it in fact does happen.
All other scientific experiments must be replicated. The argument was, evolution will continue to remain merely a theory, a guess, until we actually see it occurring, or at least see evidence of evolution in process.
For example.......(now to the crocoduck part)
Evolution in progress would produce animals in various stages of adaptation.....weird stuff like "crocoducks" (a crocodile with some features like a duck).
Kirk was basically saying all we see around us in nature are "finished products," animals that appear to be fully adapted. We see no species morphing into other species or slowly getting rid of body parts they don't need.

It's a weak creationist argument used by washed-up - actor-turned-Holy-Roller, Kirk Cameron.
Basically, he claims that if evolution were true, that we'd see all kinds of "half way" animals like crocoducks (half crocodile, half duck). He obviously tries to be silly in hopes of making science look absurd, but at the same time shows his ignorance of how evolution works.
One of the fallacies in his reasoning is his assumption that "types" of animals are these rigidly-defined things, and that science says a species suddenly gives birth to another species. Again, that's not how it works. Of course, nobody wants to make the effort to actually READ up on a subject.
