find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Most Doctors recommend cutting way back on carbs but keeping good protein sources. My Doc said if it tastes good, spit it out. The only diet that will work is one that you work at and stay faithful to, which means a big change for most people.

The best diet is no diet at all, if you want something that will work long term you have to change your lifestyle. Eat better, do it all slowly, exercise regularly. Drink a lot of water.

One that is full of fresh food and ingredients. Low in processed sugars, and low in saturated fats. Try to keep the empty carbs down low too as your body will turn them straight into sugar unless you can burn them off during the day.

Drink heaps of water, and cut right back on softdrinks.

Prepare most of your food in house, and avoid buying prepackaged meals and food. Most of that is all rubbish. That includes premade sauces for stirfrys and sorts. making them from scratch is more more enjoyable.

Mix some walking and running into this. Keep doing it for the rest of your life. and your on track to living a little longer and enjoying your life alot more.

I lost weight on low carbs, [bread. pasta etc.] I ate lean meats, veg. and later I added fruit. However I decided to add a little bread, so I am now eating smaller portions at meal time and I am still losing. I never have 2'nds and seldom have dessert. No fast food, soda or fried foods.
