Efficiency = (Power Out) ÷ (Power In)

Efficiency = 160 watts ÷ 200 watts

160/200 = .80 = 80%

If you ever do this calculation and get a value over 100%, chances are you mixed up the In and Out values. You can't get out more than you put it.

efficiency is output/input or what you get divided by what you pay for.

You get 160 and you pay for 200, so 160/200 is 0.8 or 80%
