Has anyone been to Chile during their winter? (June-Sept.) Obviously it's going to be colder, but I'll be there for two weeks in July and was curious as to exactly what it's going to be like down there! skiing, beaches, hiking, etc...

u may forget about beaches unless u go 2,000 km north to arica and iquique, where the weather is warmer these days. about the skiing thing, it'll be amazing. chile has some of the best skiing in the world. most of the time its powder. in the past 11 years ive only been to valle nevado. only one time to el colorado, which is good but way too crowded. valle nevado is a little more expensive - about $40 a day anyways- but its better. hot chicks you'll find anywhere in the ski resorts, but most hot brazilian girls go to valle nevado.
hiking... i wouldnt suggest hiking in winter as many people get lost forever in the mountains in the winter months.
hope this helps!!!
