Muslims believe in all the Prophets, from Adam, to Noah to Moses.
Do Christians know that Muslims also believe in Jesus? Do you also know that in the Quran, there is an entire chapter dedicated to Virgin Mary and Prophet Jesus?

Prophet Muhammad did NOT found Islam.
Islam is simply believing in One true God of Adam.
And that is true element, Jesus did talk as an infant in order to defend Virgin Mary.
PS: Muslims believe that anyone who believes in ONE God, will enter Heaven!

About time someone else believes me. The Quran says a few other things not mentioned in the Bible, such as speaking to the animals in the manger and talking to the three wise men, committing miracles well before adulthood. Jesus was also Arab and not white.

They write about Jesus, and state he was a prophet.
But they never claimed that Mary nor Jesus was a Muslim. They couldn't the Muslim religion had not been "born" yet.....
If the Muslim religion did not exist at the time of Christ, then they could not have been Muslim.. Simple mathematics..
However, it does not take away from the fact that Jesus and Mary are mentioned in the Qur'an, with some subtle differences on the Birth story from Christianity. They did still regard Jesus as a Prophet..

Yes, I know that Muslims believe in all the prophets, including Jesus.
Now how did Mary know that the most important prophet would be Mohammad coming 500 years in the future? But it is only in the Quran, you say? Written 500 years after she died? How did they find out what she thought? I am a little confused on that point. I think there would have been some information before that.
No offense. I just think there SHOULD have been some information before that. Writing afterwards saying all of a sudden in a Muslim book that she said she was Muslim is just, well, rather coincidental and kinda "thumping your own back", if you know what I mean. Praising yourself. It sounds like something made up to make yourself seem more plausible and "right". I think the Muslim book would have been better off not to have that in there if there was nothing previously written to back it up.
Just thinking.

Since I am agnostic, I am not going to express outrage or concern for your claim, but, regardless the scriptures in the Quran, Jesus (if he was, in fact, an actual person which is debatable) far preceded Mohammad chronologically and was actually a Jew rather than a Muslim. Despite your holy book's containing alleged beliefs in all the prophets, it does not follow automatically that they were all Muslims!

No, neither Jesus nor Mary were Muslim. They lived long before Mohammed founded the Muslim faith. They were Gnostic, not Muslim.

Caribean,
There are writings from GOD in the BIBLE. The BIBLE is GOD's Written WORD and it is TRUE. Jesus and Mary were Israelites they followed the Jewish religion. The Muslim religion did not come for some time after Jesus death, burial, ressurection, ascension, and HIS Apostle's writings. Have a nice evening and a wonderful LORD's DAY. Spend time in the LORD's Church. It will do you good.
Thanks,
Eds, Christian

Yes ,we know that Jesus and Mary are written in your book. But the most important part you omit.
Jesus is the son of God.The only begotten son of God,born of the virgin Mary.Mary was from the line of King David(a Jew) no Muslim .
Jesus was killed for our sins, then rose on the third day.Jesus is coming again for all those who love him.
Even the devil and his demons believe in Jesus. You must ask Jesus Christ into your heart to be your savior.<><

As a Christian I knew that Jesus and the Virgin Mary was/is in the Quran. I also knew that Muslims know who Jesus was. I hope this answered your question and makes sense.

Everyone has their own theory. Islam did not exit at the time of the life of christ, and there is no such person as the virgin mary. Every "holy" book presents its own interpretation of religious history. I am aware of no written history that does not support support the religious theory it represents, create behavior standards that are really for social control. Many of these stories are inaccurate and openly contradictory to the theories presented in every holy book that exists. As well, these fairy tales support the notion of the superiority of the patriarchy. Yuk.

I know that Muslims believe Jesus to be a Muslim, whether or not that is actually true, I don't know.
