For what purpose?
Okay, reality is that happiness is transitory. It comes, it goes, depending on how we feel.
Now, joy, on the other hand is a constant. It is a part of us that doesn't depend on what is happening on the outside.
So, in my opinion, happiness can't be conquered until a person surrenderes to joy. Then, happiness doesn't really matter.

Why would one want too? Conquer: : to overcome by mental or moral power , Why would you want to overcome happiness? Wouldn't you rather be happy?

Believe in God &Jesus and then live with the humility of a child (taking time to enjoy the flowers)and the wisdom of an old person (knowing what flowers not to smell)

I'd suggest being sad. That usually eliminates happiness for me.

Appreciate what you have. It is as simple, and as difficult as that.
