Elesia.. U said {.I mean a few hundred Christians must equal several million Jews, Muslims, and Witches}

a few hundred? you need to get educated better on your facts.
so next time someone brings up a witch hunt and etc..it would be fair for me to say " I guesse that makes Christan murder okay then?

Nero used to burn Christians alive for entertainment. People are really embittered on this board...they talk about the Crusades as though modern day Christians were responsible for what happened in the 1100's, and as though there is currently a Crusade and Inquisition happening. Should we all be held responsible for the barbarity of our human predecessors throughout history ? Why don't we also blame all Germans for the holocaust? Let's continuously blame them for what Hitler did...it should be the crux of our intellectual argument!

I am a pagan. I know the history of what happened to our people and to the natives peoples, at the hands of Christians who also lived during some really bad times. I suspect that there isn't a good Christian today who endorses what happened back then. And any person who does endorse those horrible events isn't a good anything. I say these words as a pagan, in the spirit of the day today, which I have humbly called CHRISTIAN AND PAGAN APPRECIATION DAY in 3 questions that I posted. In this spirit of togetherness and coming together, I say that let us remember the past and never let it be repeated. Religious intolerance is the root of why those terrible events happened, and the more we try to come together and love each other, and accept each others' differences, the less likely it will be that anyone will be burning anyone else at the stake. I also offer this: if in my lifetime, I should ever see anyone, regardless of faith, being persecuted for their beliefs, if ever I see someone being dragged to that pyre, I will stomp on the match that would have set the blaze.

Apparently it's not news. I googled Christian persecution and got a lot of stuff about Romans. Since no one here personally knows anyone involved, I don't think you're going to get a lot of sympathy mileage out of it. Modern persecution is overlooked. It appears that the news media doesn't think the issue will sell advertising.

Because we live in a Christian-dominated society and also a society where people like to attack the establishment. Why else do you think it's not considered racism to make fun of white stereotypes? And why don't you have masculinists protesting all the jokes made against men? It's just the society we live in and hopefully it'll change someday to where equality means REAL equality.

They probably don't care because Christians already have taken about a third of the planet, and no one wants to hear any more martyr stories. Also, the Christians have done a lot of oppressing themselves.

Jesus said that as long as we preach the gospels, we will be persecuted and treated as martyrs. And people DO care. Lots of us are praying for persecuted Christian missionaries every day.
