Then why all the proselytizing?

Shouldn't it be a personal relationship?

Converting people is a MAHOR thing in the bible. Even 'jesus' curses those that convert people in Mat 23:15..the 'woe' in the text is a translation of a curse.

Those that are converting people basically ARE venerating a limited god form, an idol, since their god isn't everywhere. For IF their god were truly everywhere, they wouldn't have to tell another about IT. When people convert all they really are giving is the definitional definitions/concepts of their 'faith' which are just idols. Without those deinitions/concepts the god form cannot exist.

Its not like someone is just goingto wake up one morn and say 'I am sinner--I defy my god, but its okay I have a 'bloody lamb' to clean it up".

One should also note the definiton of an OTHER god in the OT law. Deut 13:2-5. Basically, an OTHER god is one that you personally have not known OR one that was unknown to your fathers.

ALSO, technically, what a person sees or NOT sees is just 'god's will' at least based on scripture---EXO 4:11 The LORD said to him, "Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD ?

Before proselyting there was torture, the Crusades, the Inquisition, geneocide, and witch burning. Since one's "relationship" with "god" exists solely in one's self-destructive denial defense mechanism, it's inevitable such psychosis will leak out to violence against others. There's simply no other way to back up one's hatred for the world than to attempt to destroy it.

Have you ever met someone who changed your life for the better? Don't you introduce them to others? Here's an example: You have a chronic illness, after years of searching you find a doctor who cures you. Your friend has the same illness. Wouldn't you suggest your doctor? To a christian, it's the same thing.

Edit: My relationship with God is personal. It is between me and Him. Just as my husband's and my relationship is between us, that doesn't mean that people shouldn't know that we're married. It doesn't mean that I can't tell my friend's how great and loving my husband is. I love my husband---I talk about him. I love God---I talk about Him. It's a part of my life. I'm sure you talk about the important things in your life.

That's something that a lot of my bretheren haven't gotten yet. God does not want everybody. So He calls those who He chooses. It might sound elitest, but it's the God honest truth. That's why I don't try to address every single question, because I know that those people who are being so devicive are typically not going to trust God no matter what I say.

Jesus commanded us as believers to go out and make disciples of all nations. It is called the Great Commission.
