Hey, I just turned 14 in March, and I play lots of sports, but I would like to lose about 5 pounds in 3 months because I abosolutely hate my love handles and thighs. I am by no means fat, and actually much of my weight is all muscle, so I was wondering how I could lose this weight to reduce those areas without looking unhealthy, because my stomache area is well toned and barely has any fat at all and I'm afraid losing five pounds might only come from there (because it sure ain't coming from my thighs, butt, or hips) and that wouldn't be good.. I've read that is is good to tone up the areas you want to lose wieght in, but I have already been toning those areas for years with intense basketball, and it's probably the sports that is making me look bulky, but I am just wondering what is the best way to go about this. I already have excluded soda, high fructse corn syrup, and all non organic foods out of my diet btw. Thanks.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

The first and best way to burn fat is to modify your current diet. There are three simple ways
you can begin to modify: reduce calories, reduce sodium, and reduce fat. For example, by substituting a glass of
water for a carbonated beverage, you can cut approximately 150 calories or more, depending on how much is consumed.
Even if it were fruit juice instead of water, you would still reduce calories by approximately 50 - 100..
what causes these unwanted gains in weight and bodyfat? There are three possible reasons this can happen:
(1) Eat late at night (2) Exceed your normal caloric intake (3) Lack of exercise or physical activity.
best way to speed up the metabolism is by increasing meal frequency. Instead of eating 2 - 3
meals per day, try eating 4 - 5 small meals per day, or 3 meals and 2 healthy snack meals.

Depends on how much weight your planning to lose, i have many friends that lost weight. Friends that lost from 10 - 15lbs no, if so it wasnt really noticable. Friends that lost from 40 - 65lbs lost a cup size or two (so i was told) I think it's a matter of how much fat actually consumes your boobs, so if you think they're pretty firm then they probably wont really lose size. btw if you want to know an easy way to lose weight healthy feel free to email me.

If what you are doing is not allowing you to lose weight, just substitute one meal a day with a slimfast shake and you'll reach your goal. (They are 250 calories)
