How do you inspect a brand new box of wine glasses?

Should I be borthered if each glass in a box of 4 produces a different pitch when striked?

unless you plan on playing them instead of drink out of them a glass is a glass save some money and go to the dollar store then you can use the money you saved on the glasses to buy somthing real good to put in them cause that is what makes the difference.

I can't help you there friend. When I entertain I buy the cheap wine glasses at Ikea. As far as really good ( read expensive) wine glasses, I expect them to sound differently, because they are hand blown. The middle range glasses, I'm embarrassed to say, I just trust the name brand's reputation. I don't expect people to come to my party and "ping" my glasses.

It may make a difference if you're paying hundreds of dollars for these glasses. If you're not, then just inspect them for cracks.
