find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

This is the strategy that helped me lose weight and keep it off, always remember there is an alternative.
1) Always have a sweet tooth?
For me this was a big deal, especially since I love to bake. As an alternative, I went to an organic store and found oatmeal cookies that were good for you. If that doesn't help, substitute it with a dried fruit such as cranberries, melon or pineapple. It gives you the sweetness you desire and is good for you.
2) Problem drinking water?
Squeeze a little lemon or lime in it. Even take some pomegranate seeds and place them in there. The more water you drink, the more calories it helps you burn. No more sodas, they will build up lactic acid in your muscle. When it's time for you to run, you won't be able to do it long because your muscles will feel like battery acid is flowing through them.
3) Try not to eat red meat. Red meat takes forever to process in your system. I now eat seafood more and I don't feel as weighed down.
4) Prepare all of your meals. In your free time, prepare your meals for the next couple of days and it will keep you from stopping to pick up something quick. Don't know how? Cook with your mother and try to find healthy alternatives to some of the things she cooks with.
5) Move more. If you live a mile from school, try to walk. Need to go grocery shopping and its nearby, make it a family trip so everyone can carry at least three bags if needed. Since you're still fifteen, you may also find being involved in club sports will keep you active if you're not quite ready for the gym.
6) Don't eat three big meals, eat six small meals. It will boost your metabolism a lot quicker this way. Don't forget to take dietary supplements... i.e. vitamins.
Hope this helps. It helped me go from a sixteen to a seven in a six month span. I haven't gained the weight back at all.

The first and best way to burn fat is to modify your current diet. There are three simple ways
you can begin to modify: reduce calories, reduce sodium, and reduce fat. For example, by substituting a glass of
water for a carbonated beverage, you can cut approximately 150 calories or more, depending on how much is consumed.
Even if it were fruit juice instead of water, you would still reduce calories by approximately 50 - 100..
what causes these unwanted gains in weight and bodyfat? There are three possible reasons this can happen:
(1) Eat late at night (2) Exceed your normal caloric intake (3) Lack of exercise or physical activity.
best way to speed up the metabolism is by increasing meal frequency. Instead of eating 2 - 3
meals per day, try eating 4 - 5 small meals per day, or 3 meals and 2 healthy snack meals.

You need to change your lifestyle.
Find your maitinence caloric intake level. From there, gradually decrease the amount of calories you take in. You'll gradually decrease the amount of calories you are taking in, and the weight will gradually decrease as well. Once you are at a desired weight, maintain at this level by consuming the amount of calories it takes you to stay at this weight. If you simply go on a diet for a period of time and then eat as you used to, you'll gain that weight right back.

Slowly and healthfully, especially since you are still developing. I would recommend Weight Watchers. They teach you healthy eating habits and there is a lot of great support at the meetings.

okay, well i think you do know that you need to eat healthy and exercise everyday for this to happen. your health teacher probably tells you everyday.
But if it helps, here's a simple routine:
-only eat the three main meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner (don't eat any snacks etc.....)
-drink lots of water (eight cups, 3 bottles)
-go for a walk or go shopping downtown (at least one hour each day)
-while watching tv, during commercials, get up and do push ups, jumpin jacks, sit-ups etc...
-eat fruits and veggies!
