ok so i have a pretty good relationship with God. He is actually my best friend. He guides to the right choices. but anyway, on friday at lunch i asked Him if i could eat a regular meal (because i had been fasting for about 6 weeks) He said that it's my choice to make. he said do i want to eat and risk getting off path or not eat and continue to have a deep connection with Him. i chose to eat, but i promised Him i wouldn't partake in any negative or/and ungodly conversation. i sadly broke our covenant about 2-4 times that day. what do you think about my situation?

I think your starvation is making you hear voices.

Every day we are faced with choices. Some are good and some are bad. Most of the time we make good choices. You made a good choice to eat.

I believe that God wants us to be healthy and well. We shouldn't abuse ourselves with drugs or alcohol but we should eat well and maintain the body that God gave us.

If you Fast too much you weaken the body. We should set a good example for others to follow.

I am making the assumption you are a Christian here (because I am and I am speaking from my beliefs)

Believe in God and follow Jesus. Jesus was called a glutton by the pharasis and I think fasting should be associated with times of searching and prayer, but even Jesus was only in the desert 40 days! Have a nourishing meal and spend some time reading the Bible and praying God will show you the way. Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis will be a good one to read and show you more about your faith.

God Bless

obviously you didn't fast from all food or drink, right? My guess is you probably fasted from certain foods that maybe aren't the healthiest for you...

Look, the whole idea behind fasting (giving up something you need or like.. usually food) is to show our Heavenly Father that you are willing to refrain from that activity to gain a closer spiritual bond or insight. Which obviously you have done. But abstaining from nutrition should only be done in smaller doses and for very important reasons... maybe a 24 hour fast.. The Lord tells us to take care of our bodies... when I fast, most of the time I do gain something from it because I am fasting with a purpose... I will typically end my fast within a 24 hour period. It is the answers that I receive and the insight I gain that I apply into my life and that is what helps me keep that deep connection... Fasting is a voluntary "tool" we can use to better ourselves... just apply what you've learned and keep your testimony of it strong.

I think you are only human and as such we make mistakes. Choosing to eat and partaking in negative or ungodly conversation isnt a sin, but fasting for 6 weeks is unhealthy. Next time you should make your fasting period more realistic.

Fasting is not "the way, the truth, or the life". Moreover, it is not a means to towards the father.

You relation with God who is spirit is not through the body. You are body, soul and spirit.

We worship God in spirit and in truth, not in starving body.

Unless you talk directly with God and heard what He hear to He have to say, you had no covenant to break.

Maybe you should stop fasting and leave your life of sin.

I had resolved not to answer any really idiotic questions tonight, but ..........

1.) Get a Bible and a dictionary, you are not fasting.

2.) If you are hearing voices telling you things, as you imply,
turn to this verse in the Bible you get.

1Jo 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

I just think you are trying too hard. Maybe you are obsessing over God? Do you really think eating made you decide to "fall off the wagon" several times that day?

The decision is up to you. I certainly can't say other than I could not use your method of relating to God at my age. Good luck.

You seem to really believe in God. Do not worry too much, God will forgive you. Attempt your best and repent. He loves you, and will still always love you no matter what.
Forgive yourself first, God will love you. Although fasting represents purity, I am sure God will forgive you for anything, however you will always need to forgive yourself and love yourself also.
It only reminds you that you are human. God will forgive you no matter what. Smile and forgive, but attempt your best.
Do me a favor, talk to your religious leader, he/she will help guide you and help you feel better, though nothing is wrong and you forgiven by God.

I think you need to chill and have a healthier relationship with God. Love him with all your heart, which it seems like you do, but God doesn't want us to do things to hurt ourselves. Fasting can seriously hurt you. Try to "fast" on negative habits instead such as biting your nails or smoking. Remeber, all you have to do is ask God's forgiveness and you will be forgiven.

I think that you shouldn't give in to condemnation. There are a lot of times where things sound like God but really aren't. Just because you ate something doesn't mean that you're going to hell. You can't fast your entire life. There are other things to fast such as TV, radio, things that interrupt you from hearing His voice. It just sounds like something that's trying to condemn you.
