hey you can click on this link:

http://www.annualcreditreport.com

You can get one free report per year from each of the three credit bureaus, Transunion, Experian and Equifax.

If you haven't gotten a report in a good amount of time, you may want to get them all at the same time just to make sure they all are current with the same information, if you are pretty regular at checking your report, then I'd say get one every 3-4 months, just make a note on whatever calendar you use so you'll know when it's time to get your next one.

* also IF you are tired of getting all of those preapproved offers in the mail, you can go here to "opt out" of being on those lists, you can opt out for 5 years. It may take a couple of months to totally stop getting them since alot of those are just printed in advance. http://www.optoutprescreen.com

They were correct with www.annualcreditreport.com, but you can actually check it 3 times per year. One time with each major company listed on the site. They might not all have the same information if they weren't updated properly (ie: adresses, place of employment, names and aliases).

Go to www.annualcreditreport.com or call 877-322-8228 (toll free) You can get one or all three credit reports for free but I dont think all states let you get your credit score (either way, I know mine is crap but lets hope yours is better)
