It is interesting that as immorality has increased, people go out of their way to cattle prod the Christians.

Another false myth started by Christians! Is there any part of your dogma that is true?

First off I don't think there has been any rise in hostility toward Christians....(think back to a little thing called the Roman empire). I don't think there are very many people "cattle prodding" Christians either. People do get annoyed with the "bible thumping" Christians because a lot of the time they can't talk about ANYTHING else. Somehow the conversation always has to revolve around God, and they will go to extreme lengths to convert you to whatever they believe. People don't like that. They are happy with what they believe and don't really care what you do. Leave them alone!

I think the question should be, "When exactly did the church require dues in order to be a member?" Or "why won't churches baptize children that has a parent that hasn't been baptized?" The truth is that a lot of church members are too busy gossiping and are hypocritical of non-members. When did the church decide to change their mission of being a place of worship? There are too many Christians out there that are preaching the word of God with a license purchased from the Internet and these "preachers" usually don't have a clue. So it tends to put a damper on a good sermon when there are politics involved in the church. It has nothing to do with immorality. Ethics maybe. Oh and morals are the parents job to teach.

Where on God’s green earth are you people coming from?

I’m serious, where in the USA are Christians “Cattle Prodding” non believers, please tell me Lisa.

Where are these “churches [that] shove their religion (sic) down others throat wether (sic) they want it or not.” Please tell me, Taylor R.

Hey! Gwadzill, yes we are working for legislation to stop the killing of innocents and maintaining Marriage as it is and should be one man and one woman. That as opposed to your ramming immoral acts down everyone’s throat via the courts.

I am an Evangelical Christian and I live in the heart of the so called “Bible Belt” and I have never done any of the things I see posted here, nor have I seen or heard anyone else even remotely close to the Christians you describe.

Yes I talk about Christ but I don’t shove it down anyone’s throat. What does that mean anyway? Did someone tie you to a chair and read the Bible to you? Were you locked in a cell with a radio that only played Sermons and Christian music?

How does one force their beliefs on you? And XD, when and where did that diatribe come from? Who the hell is Richard Dawkins? And why is he ascribing such things to Christians? [Never mind I just looked him up.] I don’t see Christians strapping bomb on themselves and their children to kill innocent people. I may be wrong, but there were no Christians involved in flying planes into the WTC.

I don’t know of any physical persecution of Christians going on in the US. Plenty of verbal but that is no big deal. Christians in other countries are being tortured and killed for their beliefs: China, India, Indonesia and most any Muslim country you can name. Those people are indeed Saints.

Get a grip people.

Thats funny you should mention that because as I percieve it, Christians are getting increasingly hostile (mean, brutal and violent) towards non-christians. Its also funny that as Christians become more and more hostile towards non-christians they are also becoming more and more self righteous and intolerant of people who express an opinion greatly or even slightly in opposition to theirs. Then they turn it around and profess that non-christians are immoral and becoming increasingly more hostile to those who profess to be christian.

Excellent observation. As christians become increasingly immoral, they tend to be treated like cattle.

I think you're overgeneralizing. The fundamentalists of other religions (whom we all know are completely insane) are certainly hostile toward Christians, but ordinary, thinking folk are not. And may be immorality has not increased so much as the media have been reporting it more often than they used to, primarily because of technology.

We represent a path that teaches repentance from sin. Is it any wonder that those who embrace and celebrate sin are hostile toward us? The hostility has always been there, but as immorality becomes more and more widespread, the sin-mongers will of course become more overt and active in their opposition to Christ and His people.

The first impression that many people get of Christianity is creationism, Terri Schavio and Jerry Falwell. That is enough to drive many people away.
