Hi Suzy. Facial twitches are called 'muscle fasciculations'. They are usually caused by mineral and vitamin deficiencies. These deficiencies are very common with the modern processed food and fast food diets.

Magnesium deficiency is the most likely factor, but potassium and calcium deficiencies can also be involved. Vitamins that are important for the functioning of magnesium (e.g. B6) and for nerve/vascular health (e.g. B1) can also be a factor.

Stress does NOT cause these twitches, but it can AGGRAVATE/activate them.

Try a quality multi-vitamin/mineral supplement from your health food store or from your health care professional. DO NOT use the 'junk food vitamins' such as One-a-Day and Centrum - these contain cheap minerals as oxides, which are NOT absorbed.

Best wishes and good luck.

Stress causes it. I always get them at the end of the year, when I am swamped with homework and finals. I always get eye twitches.

Stress. My right eye twitches when I get over stressed. You also might want to be mindful of how much caffeine you're ingesting.

The muscle in the cheekbone is twitching.

It's aggervated or nervous or something.

Massage it regularly, or put pressure on it.

The muscle under my right eyebrow does that to me alot.
