I make my own soda.
MIx 2 parts sparkling soda water with 1 part "diet" cranberry juice.
You get the fizzy fun of a soda, a light cranberry flavor and Maybe 30 calories per 12 ounce serving.
Also no nasty aftertaste.

1. 7 Up. 2. Coke. (I really prefer diet these days, at least once and awhile- especially for cooking). 3. Diet Pepsi Jazz. Not the strawberry but the other 2.

Diet Coke. My dad was a diabetic and when I was a kid in the 70's the only drink choices we had that were sugar free was Tab, Fresca and saccharine. If you've ever drank Tab or Fresca or had iced tea with lot's of saccharine you know what I mean. When Diet Coke was introduced in the late 70's or early 80's it was the greatest think ever! I've been addicted to it ever since.

I actually prefer water, I'm not big on that soda thing for several reasons. Soda (and diet soda for that matter) is unhealthy and contains lots of sugars and carbohydrates that you shouldn't be consuming from a beverage. Caffeine also slows digestion and blocks healthy nutrients from being absorbed into the body. I like water.
