Will this help or hurt the Christian movement...?

I just watched a Christian channel where "ex" gays and "ex" lesbians found God, who helped them to not be gay, but what's happening is, the "ex" gays are running into problems like being sued under the hate crime laws, because they are going up to homosexuals and proselytizing gays telling them to go to God in order to not be gay, and well, the gays are suing, stating that they are being harassed by these "ex" Christian gays. Is this really helping the Christian community?

Now Christians are trying to change the hate crime laws.

I think it would hurt the cause...I have seen many of those shows and follow ups on the men and women who have been so called "healed" by God prove false. They still have all the same feelings and or lack of feelings, but now they just have to repress them to stay as a Christian, or they just go back to how they were previous and of course carry a lot of unwarranted guilt and condemnation with them.

I think it's kind of funny. I wouldn't put it past the christians to send out dummies saying they used to be gay. I doubt they really were. In any case, I hope those people win their law suits and get some money out of them.

I think it will help christians with the non gay community and hurt them within the gay community. Thus, it won't change anything.

Christianity is a relationship, not a cause. Christians don't make Christians. God does. What could possibly be hurt?
A secular point of view is one of Christians trying to conquer the world. Christians understand that God works through us and non-believers alike to His own purposes.
