How about a tattoo on the rib cage or on my back in between the shoulder blades?

Would those areas be quite sensitive?

I don't have a tattoo there, but friends of mine do. One guy, before he went back to have his other arm done, said that he sort of desensitized it, by smacking it, pinching it, and while he was in the shower he would let really HOT water spray on it. He did this for about a month and said that it helped him alot with the pain. If you are wanting the inner arm done this might help you.:)

I have a few inner arm tattoos and they can be kind of painful. To get a feel, give a few pinches to the area that you are thinking about and see how much it hurts. If it hurts so bad you don't think you could take a needle for a while, then I would consider another area. That is a pretty sensitive place for a first tattoo. I got my first on my shoulder and once I realized I could handle the pain, I got my first inner arm tattoo. After your adrenaline gets going and the endorphins kick in, the pain lessens, but no matter what, it will hurt. It's worth it though, the pain is only temporary, the ink is forever.

the inner arm is a pretty tough spot. i have 4 tattoos, but none there. my brother in law recently got his daughters name going down his whole inner arm, and he said it was quite painfully. like my tattoo artist always says, its not about how much it hurts....if you really want the tattoo you will go through with it regardless of how much it hurts. the end result will be worth it anyways. Good luck !

To me it hurt a little more than some other places. But getting a tattoo really doesn't hurt that much. You can totally sit there and take it. Just eat before you go and take some water with you.

i couldnt get it done in one session because my skin started to bleed

when that girl says it hurts like someone dragging a razor against your skin, she was not kidding its the truth

i admit, i cried because of the pain but then again i'm 5'7 160 pounds so who knows you might have a higher pain tolerance

but my friends bf got a tattoo on his inner arm and he also said it hurt
hes a football player and over 200 pounds of muscle
