No. Bald eagles are not only the USA's national bird but they are also endangered. It is even illegal to pick up a bald eagle feather and make say, a necklace with it. Also, a bald eagle would be impossible to keep as a pet.

I have to agree with most of the answers here. I think it's illegal to keep a bald eagle. If it's hurt, call a vet or even a local zoo. If not, let it go.

If you "capture" a bald eagle you have broken federal laws and are in serious trouble. Don't even think about it. They are a protected species.

HELL NO IT'S NOT RIGHT. RELEASE IT!! I know....u want to keep it. I have been a vegetarian for about 7 years, recycle, own an animal refuge center and have 5 dogs in my kennel (that r mine) 3 cats, 2 horses, 2 parrots, and a few little critters (hamsters, guinea pigs, etc.) But it's no tright to keep them. I know it's VERY Hard!! I want to keep EVERY pet I rescue. But u can also go to tjail if u don't have an animal refuge liscense like me. That's the only reason I'm allowed to help them. I have a liscense.
P.S. I hope you set it free in a SAFE woodland with some flat stretches na dplenty of food (fish) ands water.
P.S.S. DDUH! Fish r in the water! :-)

It would be a criminal offense to even attempt to capture a bald eagle.

I'm not sure if you are just asking to ask or if you have some how captured one. But I would have to advice against capturing one. If you have found on that is injured you would need to get a hold of animal control they will place it with some one who is licensed to care for it. With the hope that it would be able to be freed.
I do hope you were just asking to ask...LOL have a good night.

Actually Lar, the rule of thumb is you actually have to marry the Bird and not sign the pre nub, so the eagle automatically gets half. Now make sure you get the right wedding colors Eagles have an Eye for mismatched colors and will absoulutly freak out and start screaming and throwing all sorts of stuff around. But yeah man, you gotta do the Tom Cruise thing as well and actually eat the placenta but its all down hill after that. :D
