My dad used to makes us toast with mayo, sliced avocado, salt & pepper for breakfast. I still love it, but it's way too rich to have very often!
Also, an ice cream cone from McDonalds was a HUGE treat for us. I sometimes stop by on my way home after a really bad day at work to get one!

sounds disgusting, but as a child my parents only allowed us one candybar a week. No other dessert all week. so i would take my baby sitting money and buy a can of frosting (usually dark sweet creamy yummy chocolate!) and then I would eat it off and on all day long savoring the sweetness! I look back now and say "how gross!"

A good grilled cheese sandwich, buttered egg noodles, or a bowl of my grandmother's macaroni & cheese, right from the fridge.
I dunno why, but her mac & cheese always tastes the best cold!
