I went fishing and my mom got the catfish bait on her hands. She can't get it off and now she is FREAKING OUT. We've tried dishsoap and lysol and hot water. What else??

Lemons do not work, also we already tried that first.

Okay, the smell is not much better at first, but it goes away quickly. Diluted bleach, like one cup of bleach to a gallon of water. Pretend you are cleaning with bleach. Scrub the bathroom sink or something, but after cleaning with bleach for a few minutes, your hands are really clean (you're supposed to wear gloves while handling bleach but I never do, and am still alive). The bleach smell will go away after a bit, and your hands will sparkle, and not smell like fish or anything nasty.

Good luck!

Well to start with use coldwater when your hands have a fish smell . If you use hot water it opens your pores and makes the smell embed its self in your skin.

Maybe try vinegar if the lemon isnt working then wash the vinegar smell off your hands.

I have used a little metal bar of some sort a friend of mine has , I dont know what the name of it is but you rub your hands on it and it takes all smell away. I didnt beleive it till I tried it .

Pour some lemon juice into a shallow dish. Put your hands in it and let it soak in for a couple of minutes. Then wash your hands real well.

I suggest a concoction of the following ingredients.

"Dish Washing Liquid"
"1/4 cup of orange juice"

Then after washing and letting that soak, wash with hot water.

It will come right off, Guaranteed.

WD-40 it is a cleaner, spray on, rub in like soap for a few minutes and wash off. I use it for anything on my hands. Gasoline works but, if you have any open sores it will burn like fire.
