Because the end of the world won't line their pockets with money

A) It doesn't suit big business. Whether directly "in the pocket" of big business, like oil companies, or not, to many politicians are afraid of economic fall out if they upset these companies.

B) Changes to environmentally friendly ways of life are costly and many people feel the government should help absorb these costs. Many politicians don't want to radically change budgets to do this.

C) Some countries are not directly feeling the effects of global warming yet. It hard for many people to address a problem they can not see and touch.

Its really sad!

A politician's main priority is to get elected or reelected. When the majority of voters are concerned about global warming, and they vote accordingly, then the politicians will care because their jobs will depend on it.

Politicians know they don't gain votes when they tell their constituents what the constituents don't want to hear. Until we get someone to buck this trend, it will be the people dragging the politicians along, rather than vice versa.

Also, there is an honest difference of opinion between those who think the market can force the adjustments needed and those who think the government must intervene more than it now. While it is easy for both sides to call each other names, this is a fact of life.

Politicians are focused on winning elections and they think that most people don't really care about it. I think we should do something about global warming.

Because they know it isn't the average every day citizen causing the problems. The problems are being caused by the big industrial guys and they put money in the politicians pokets. And as long as their pockets are filled with greed they won't do anything to change it.

they do no longer care approximately people OR companies. They care approximately votes. they're going to use something they are able to to get people to vote for them (different than actually DOING something). worldwide warming will occupy lots of persons. They paintings a minimum of 8 hrs/ day, they arrive homestead to spend time with their family members, they hassle approximately their carbon footprint then they attempt to sleep. No time to think of roughly unlawful immigrants, tax reform, or something that we are able to preserve. they are able to make companies out to be the undesirable guy. people and corporation could be on an identical area. government should not be making use of a wedge between us.

Because the warming that we are experiencing has very little to do with humans. It is cyclical. There have been warmer times in history. Solar rays are hotter than ever recorded. Other planets are experiencing global warming as well.

It is not humans causing it, and there is nothing humans can do except adapt.

This is not to say that we should not conserve natural resources, but we should not listen to that maniac Al Gore who is burning more fuel in a day than an average citizen in a month all the while telling people to conserve or buy carbon credits which can be purchased from a company he is part owner of. Oh, and by all means, put more money in his pocket by watching that movie...An Unforgivable Lie
