well i suppose it depends on what you're trying to accomplish
if you're losing weight, then you'll need to burn more carbs than you consume a day
if you're trying to stay healthy, small steps are needed
what's too little is doing nothing, i think 25 minutes is a good start, but it's reccomended that you get at least one hour of activity a day, this doesn't mean you have to sit on that bike for an hour, this means you're walking around, pushing a shopping cart, lifting something, all of which should add up to at least an hour per day
i hope this helps

"Enough" for what purpose?

I've heard that 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise 3 times a week provides health benefits vs. heart disease, but I think that's a dumbed down number because most Americans are so lethargic and sedentary that the AMA is afraid of frightening them away from exercise altogether by telling the truth.....

If you're trying to manage you're weight, 25 minutes will have negligible impact. Go for at least an hour, more if you can manage it.

You'll find a stationary bike deadly boring soon enough. Mix in some outdoor riding or running. When I'm forced indoors by weather, I play video games while riding, and get off every 40-45 minutes for a set with the weights to give my butt a break. For some reason, stationary riding is a lot harder on my butt than riding outside. 2.5 to 3 hours is about all I can handle indoors.

Oh yeah, 49 is not an issue. I'm a bunch older than that.

Ok well you use a stationary bike for 25 minuetes. That is good, but my suggestion is every time you go on the stationary bike increase your time by 5 minuetes every time you get on. Sound good? By the way I am thirteen. And very fit.

if you are trying to lose weight you have to do cardio (cycling, jogging, running etc) 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (preferably 45min)

TO ANSWER THAT QUESTION, YOU MUST FIRST DECIDE ON HOW MUCH WEIGHT YOU WANT TO LOSE & HOW FAST. tHAT WILL DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT YOUR RIDING LONG ENOUGH OR NOT. USUALLY, IF YOU HAVE TO ASK, IT'S NOT ENOUGH. FOR ME, I FOCUS MORE ON MY HEART THAN MY WEIGHT. GET THAT HEART PUMPING & BUILD UP YOUR MOTABOLIZM AGAIN. OUR MOTABOLIZM IS LIKE A FURNACE THAT BURNS FAT FOR FUEL, BUT WE'VE GOT TO GET IT BUILT UP BEFORE IT WILL BURN THE FAT. a GREAT DANCE ROUTINE SOUNDS FUN
