The God head consists of three persons - God the Father, God the son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. The term used for the God Head is the "Trinity."
Each member of the Trinity is God: The Father is God: John 6:27; Romans 1:7; 1 Peter 1:2. The Son is God: John 1:1, 14; Romans 9:5; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 5:20. The Holy Spirit is God: Acts 5:3-4; 1 Corinthians 3:16 (The One who indwells is the Holy Spirit - Romans 8:9; John 14:16-17; Acts 2:1-4).

What are some of the things Jesus said that support him being God? In (St. John 5:37) he said, "And the father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me, ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape." Well, if no man has heard or seen the father at any time, who did Moses and the elders of Israel see in (Exodus 24:9-11), where the bible says twice that they saw God? They saw Jesus, the God of the Old Testament, the God of Israel. Paul clarifies this in (1 Corinthians 10:1-4) when he has let us know that Jesus was the "Rock" that led the Israelites through the Red Sea. This is the same rock that Isaiah said many would be offended by. Now, what was Jesus doing at the Red Sea if his beginning was with Mary? Here is the explanation; "And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us." (St. John 1:14) But prior to that he was God with God. That's why (St. John 1-3) says, "In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made." Jesus is called the Word because he is the spokesman for the Father. Now we can under stand why Jesus said no man has heard the Father's voice at anytime.

Jesus says he is the Son of God. He is also one with God. How this can happen is beyond our understanding. The old God did not die, but clearly loves his creation by sending to Son (Jesus) to show us what the Kingdom of God is like. Jesus though one with God did not use his power to defend himself but allowed the Romans and the religious leaders to put him to death. God then raised Jesus from the dead, thus having power over sin and death. This again is beyond our abilities or understanding, but it happened and it is true. Following Jesus would allow you to see God and to have hope in life.

Jesus is the "Old God" who became human for union with God and humanity. There is only one and eternal God. Christians believe that this absolutely one and united-in-himself God is a Community of Love of 3 divine hyposteses or "persons" (but not separable ,finite, divisible and anthropmorphic persons).

This can be settled by three easy to understand scriptures.
Who does the Bible say came to the earth?
John 3:17 says: "For God sent forth his Son into the world, not for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him."
So who came to the earth? Was it God or God's Son?
Who did Jesus say he was?
John 10:35, 36: " If he called ‘gods’ those against whom the word of God came, and yet the Scripture cannot be nullified, do you say to me whom the Father sanctified and dispatched into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, I am God’s Son?
So who did Jesus say he was? God or God's Son?
Who did Jesus say God was?
John 17:3: "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."
So did Jesus say he was the only true God? Or did he call his Father the only true God?
