I'm 5ft 2 and weigh 8stone 11. I put nearly a stone on about 6months ago and i can't stand it.
My mum says it's just due to my body changing because i'm only 16. My hips are alot bigger now and so is my stomach. I never liked how i looked before but i HATE it even more now.
It really gets me down and since i put the weight on i seem to of lost all intrest in guys.
Should i really try and diet now, or is my body just going to change again?

it'll change, but it might not. there no telling, but i think your too young to worry about how you body looks, start worrying about it when your 19/20.

if you want a flat stomach now then just watch what you eat, eat constantly, dont stop, but eat healthy, cut down on fatty foods, and maybe go jogging few times a week. that'll help alot

During the teen years, it natural to feel insecure about the body...Everyone goes through this even when they're skinny, medium or fat...I don't think you should worry, I'm sure you still physically attract guys even though you don't feel that great about yourself on the inside.....Guys don't always see what females see by the way....

If you really want to diet, do it the right way and eat whole and organic foods! Stay away from fast food restaurants or food products from the grocery store that could contain unnatural ingredients (these make and keep people fat)....Also, make sure you're drinking enough water....A lot of people who complain about their tummies being big are guilty of eating lots of sweets and not drinking enough water.....The amount you should be drinking in ounces is: divide your weight by 2 and that's the amount in ounces...(calculate it in the same equivalent as you would in Europe)....

Also, for a good detox, drink green tea!! It will not only give your skin a beautiful healthy glow, but it will also burn fat and speed up your metabolism and it is also proven to help lift depression...It is SAFE! And, If you hate hard core exercising, just do 3 or 4 (30) minute walks per week and you should see a change--but be patient!! If you hate doing crunches or sit-ups---drinking water can actually flatten your stomach! It will flush out all the excess that sits in your intestines--it should break it up all the waste that never made it out of the colon..

Hope this helps.

Since your body is going through hormonal changes this is part of a normal process.

However, you can increase your chances of coming through this period without any permanent weight gains by eating right while you're young.

Dieting is temporary. What you need to do is make a pack to eat well forever. As healthy living is a way of life.

Cut your fast food and junk food consumption. Try to incorporate more protein and calcium in your diet. You are a growing young woman and your body needs the nutrients necessary to ensure that you are healthy.

Exercise is healthy at any age. As long as you have no serious health problems, get out there and break a sweat. Join an sports team or start walking for at least 30 minutes or more per day. Before you know it, you'll be slimmer and happier.

I don' t think that you should dismiss the 'issue' of weight gain to mere 'hormonal changes'. This becomes an excuse for many people, and expands into their later lives.

You should consider the actual reasons behind your weight gain. Have you been consuming more than before? Have you been more sedentary? Have you been consuming more unhealthy foods than before?

You should know the answer to why you are gaining weight. It doesn't just happen.

However, do not put yourself on any strict diet. Simply try to incorporate healthier food choice, and increase movement a bit.

Most importantly, don't dwell on it! The less the issue is on your mind, the better control you will have over it, rather than having it control you.

Best of luck!

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

i'm 5ft and weighed nicely 88 lbs. and that i'm sixteen. sure its usual. Age extremely does not remember with weight. Its in basic terms the peak specially. edit: My well-being practitioner says i'm usual. you're in all risk between the fortunate ones like me that have a speedy metabolism so the fat you consume gets broken down great straight away that it doesnt even stay on your physique. If a woman became like 5ft and weight one hundred ten+lbs, then thats a undertaking haha Yeah people used to accuse me of being ill and having a disease. I consume ALOT yet i do no longer benefit weight. nicely in basic terms i assume pay attention to the well-being practitioner to ascertain no remember if it is 'no longer usual' which i think of it is. My well-being practitioner says its completely high-quality :]

If you have lost interest in guys due to the weight, then its probably just your hormones. If you want to get the weight off, then a safe, healthy, diet would probably help.
