I want to save money, but I don't want to sacrifice too much in sound.

If you are planning on cutting holes in your wall, it sounds like you'll have this set up for a while. I had 5 Audio Soucre 8 inch in wall speakers. I was happy with them, and the price. But I knew I could get better sound. I ended up going with the 8 inch Klipsch Reference series speakers. I was very pleased! What are you mostly using it for, and how much do you use it? If it's a fair amount, and you really appreciate quality I'd say go with the Klipsch. I also suggest the use of a sub woofer, and you will be really impressed. But if you are on a strict budget, get the less expensive speakers, and use the money you save on a sub. Once you decide on your choice, watch the internet for good deals. I got all 5 of my Klipsch speakers on E-bay for $350 (great deal). They were very easy to install, and I even did it myself.
