i don't know enghish.forgive me,but i am anxious about english language.i asked anyone in yahoo about preposition"in"and"on".anyone answered for me that "in"is "inside"and"on"is "in top of"or"power up".after a few date,i seen my encyclopedia of english and found meaning of a lot of "in".but i naver to grudge to them.i am thankful to that they given me about information.quote unquote,do "in" use only on "inside"?and do "on" use only on "in top of"or"power up"?thanks a lot.thank you for leading

Hi, the thing is, there's no "all the time" for English prepositions. A lot of it is just what "sounds right"--to native speakers of course.

You can be involved IN a discussion ON a topic.
You can be IN your shoes and have your clothes ON.
You can be IN trouble because you're ON drugs.
You can be ON time or IN time.
