I hate it when any one is rude to any body. It doesn't matter. Recently I became aware that I am rude when it suits me. Like when I am trying to give an order at a fast food restaurant at the window and they don't understand me. Then when I pull away the order is wrong. I am at the laundry mat and in comes not 2 or 3 people but 4 with 2 or 3 children takes every washer, dryer and tables with all bits of clothing or pocket books or kids. But this could be in New York Brooklyn where its a flavored here and another there. I would feel and do as they do and complain.

I am never rude to anyone even if the word "illegal" is part of their title. The two favorite words that are both USED to justify illegals are racism and children. Because we cannot feel sorry for anyone whose title starts with the word "illegal" we must be racists and are filled with hate. Please, my life is too short to be filled with the hatred we are accused of. You say "illegals" are only feeding their children? Why don't they focus their hate filled energy on the Mexican government to help feed their children. As a whole illegals working in our country are sending billions a year back into the Mexican economy, this alone is hurting our economy in more ways than one! I am sorry I cannot find any sympathy for this cause, this fact does not make me a racist. I just happen to see way too many children that are US citizens that are also very hungry. What I just stated is not rude I was just being truthful.

I am never rude to LEGAL immigrants, only ILLEGAL ones. They have been rude to our whole country by breaking the law. Legal immigrants deserve respect and welcoming.

I think if people are rude to legal immigrants, they are rude people.

I think that illegal immigrants are worse than rude by coming here and depleting our children's education funds by $10,000 per child per year, causing our own children's programs to be cut to fund ESL for those who wouldn't be here if their parents hadn't come illegally. If you feel it is 'rude' to call a spade a spade, that doesn't trouble me.

inawhiteroom - I think possibly you meant 'xenophobic' rather than 'homophobic', but I'm not either.

Legal immigrants, very few have said anything bad at those. But if your talking about illegal aliens, open law breakers. What would you have us do, give them a great big kiss? They say things like, so we broke the law, big deal, or it was our land first, or we are not leaving, so get over it. And then they wonder why we want deportation.

It depends on what the situation is. One of my biggest pet peeves is that they tend to shout when they're in the store and they often let their kids run around screaming and shouting. I was "rude" to a woman whose child was opening all the yogurt containers. I also don't like when the men stare at young girls and make nasty noises. Those are two of their cultural habits I detest and I think they deserve rudeness.

"immigrants" has nothing to do with it: people who are rude may be suffering from a migraine, be tired and stressed out, or whatever, in which case, they should be excused. Otherwise, they should be chastised.

They are taking for granted the things they were luckily born with.

After you've been to a poor country or have spoken to someone who emigrated for a better life maybe you'll understand.

Americans take everything they have for granted.

And a quick edit:
Before you say "THEY MUST DO IT LEGALLY-" consider this. It costs a lot of money to get a citizenship, which these people don't have.

And before "they're robbing our economy!" consider that there are many US citizens who sit around on welfare all day. They're taking your tax dollars probably more than the immigrants who do jobs that no one else will do.

I think they are homophobic, having said that I agree that many of the illegal people have cultural ideas that are obnoxious to me,a latina, like in every group there are people with manners and people with none, everything they are accussing the illegals of doing,I've seen it done by people of several races, whites being up there on the list,I'm glad that I don't hate anybody,If my neighbor is legal or illegal,I don't care as long as he is a good neighbor.

It depends on what kind of immigrants you are referring to.
I treat people with the equal amount of respect that they show for me and this country.
