'Life is a b**tard and then you die' someone once told me at the age of 21. Now at almost 50 I realize the saying is true. We allow ourselves to get caught up in small problems that really have no consequences, but they become big problems. We waste time, a lot of time. The day will come when we will all shuttle off this planet, we do not know when, could be before I finish typing this, but I have enjoyed every single second of today, because I intended to enjoy every single second of today. Live as if each day could be your last day of life and see how much you can really pack into it and enjoy it.

Hi:
What has helpend me in that area with my negative self talk, etc is that I took my therapists favorite sayings printed them on pretty paper from my computer, threw them in frames so each time I look up from my computer, there they are.
Well that is what it started out as anyway. Now my "wall" as family/friends have come to know it is now 2 walls full of favorite positive sayings, quotes, poems, ecards I have been sent loved them so I print & frame them. Anything I like, that when I see it makes me feel good, goes on my wall(s).
My sister's friend is having a diddicult time right now and my sister brought her over so she sould get a kick out of my wall. Well, she got more than a kick apparently because I have a special request for a few saying's and 1 poem she read on my wall. She would like me to make a few of them for her so that she too can do the same and create her own wall.
Do I think it helps in my negative thinking? OH YES, it does. I feel better each and every time I look up and read something at random. It's great! Won't ever again like without my wall!
I just looked up an saw this one:
"Happiness resides not in possessions and not in gold, the feelings of happiness dwells in the soul"
Brought a smile to my face, I hope it does to yours and others as well.
Be Well

Try thinking about all the good stuff in your life(count ur blessings) I'm sure you have lots of stuff to be happy about although I know it doesn't always feel that way. Put ur life in perspective with those around the world. Think of the poor dying children in Africa, and remember that u are lucky. Do something fun also, like meeting with your friends, eating chocolate or watching your favorite movie. Gather those who are important to you around you and have some fun. No matter what it is your facing, just think about getting thought it.
Good Luck!

The best thing I did for myself years ago, was buy a paperback called, "What to say when you talk to yourself" by Dr. Shad Helmstedder.
Your brain is a computer and all the years of negative stuff that's been programmed into it need to be stuffed into storage and new, positive things programmed.
This book show you how to do it.

Read the book "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne. This book is about the power of positive thinking and visualization and it gives you ways in which to master both.
