I see everyone one tv bashing Bush, the war, and America. Have we forgotten why we are fighting? Have we forgotten we have brothers and sisters over there dying? God gave us the strengh to fight for those who can't. I know I haven't forgotten.... Have you?
'Have You Forgotten"
by Darryl Worrley
I hear people saying we don't need this war
I say there's some things worth fighting for
What about our freedom and this piece of ground?
We didn't get to keep 'em by backing down
They say we don't realize the mess we're getting in
Before you start preaching
Let me ask you this my friend
CHORUS 1
Have you forgotten how it felt that day
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away?
Have you forgotten when those towers fell?
We had neighbors still inside
Going through a living hell
And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

We went into Iraq to stop a monster. Seems like those trashing the war have forgotten that.

I haven't forgotten, but you are right, so many people are trashing the president that they forget why we are really there.....and the news never shows you the good things that we hear from soldiers that have been and are there....about the Iraqi people thanking them, girls and women being able to go to school....I pray for them all the time.

Iraq did not attack america. Terrorists from the middle east did. They were not associated with any government. Supposedly, their leader was Bin Laden. Bush let it be known as soon as he was elected, that he considered himself the "Commander and Chief" not the "president". He is only interested in war. Iraq is a big oil center. He believes that if he can control the oil, he is all powerful. If Bush would not have been elected, 9-11 would not have happened!

All of you seem to have forgotten that President William Jefferson Clinton, his Secretary of State, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Secretary of Defense and National Security Agency spent many days, many hundred of thousands of dollars and many millions of cruise missiles doing exactly the same thing for exactly the same reasons which were later on repeated by George Bush.
Have you forgotten that WJC got together with Tony Blair in December of 1998, no notice to the Country, no notice to the United Nations, and bombed Baghdad along with other targets throughout Iraq 24/7 for 4 consecutive days with constant sorties flown from our aircraft carriers? And that afterward, WJC addressed the Nation to explain that Saddam Hussein and Iraq imposed a threat to the World in general and the USA in particular.
Did you forget that he sent his above recited cabinet members out to college campuses and townhall meetings all over the USA in the weeks immediately preceding that attack?
Have you forgotten that his reasons were recited in exactly the same terms?
Were all of you asleep then? It's time you paid a little more attention to the facts of history before posting such utter nonsense.........start with this........
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/1a/Desert_fox_green.jpg that was a pleasant night in Baghdad, Dec. 1998
Then read:

I haven't forgotten but I bet you'll forget this as soon as you stop reading it, won't you?

The truth of the matter is Bin Laden and his butt buddies are responsible for 9/11and the President and our intelligence knew this I'm sure. They also knew if we went into Iraq to get rid of Saddam who needed to be overthrown Al-qaeda would come to fight our military and then we would get the opportunity to get rid of Al-qaeda and maybe even Bin Laden thats what I think, therefore our President and his advisors do know what there doing so support them and our military Hero's over there in that God forsaken country.

Yours is a heartfelt post.. and I commend you, however... have you forgotten that there was no reason to go into Iraq... have you forgotten Bush's little speech about " mission Accomplished " and it was never accomplished.. still isn't. Have you forgotten he lied to us.
Please try to remember some of those things before you defend a man who lied us into a war for oil!
And by the way.. I have not forgotten 9/11, not for a second.. and I have not forgotten the person I lost in Iraq... and the two should not be related.

I will never forget. And if there is no reason to be in iraq, why do soldiers still die over there? If we aren't needed, we wouldn't have to worry about the bombs going off in cars and killing children.

We should worry about Bin laden. And that is precisely why we SHOULD NOT HAVE EVER GONE INTO IRAQ. IRAQ HAD NOTING TO DO WITH 9/11, BUSH HAS CONFIRMED THAT!!!

first of all, please leave god and religion out of this. nothing is less religious then a war.
and, while I'm certainly not a Bush supporter, I don't necessarily always whack him, either!
and Iraq, until we went in, had absolutely NO (okay, limited) ties with terrorists; now look at it, a training ground for Al Quaeda and anyone else who wants to use American soldiers for target practice

i know, i am too scared about these people. I have not forgotten, i remember them everyday, and i always step up to the chance of defending them on the home front, and to honor them in other ways.
