I have a friend who has a daughter that is 11 going on twelve. She is 5'3" and weighs 155 pounds. She has some fat on her body, i must admit but not enough to make her weight that much. Is something wrong with her. I mean, doesnt that seem a little wierd? She's not like obese, she wears a M-L at American Eagle, it's just so wierd. And she cant loose the weight either, ive watched her only eat veggies and fruits for a week, and still gain. She works out a lot on a Gazelle. Something must be wrong with her...right? And she is wondering if she could get a Lap Band, would they allow a 12 or 13 year old girl that wieghs 155 punds get it? Cause otherwise...she'll keep on gaining!

Thanks sooo much.

the problem- not enough colories consumed to lose weight.
by depriving body you only gain weight.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
