If your making an mp3 disc on a 800mb you can have up tp 100 tracks on it. if it's a dvd music disc you can put well over 100 albums on to it, but then don't think you would live long enough to listen to it from start to finish. So it would be a waste of time making it.

As many as will fit, a CD will hold around 70 mins of CD Audio. A DVD is not a common format for audio as there are few audio only dvd players and I know of no program that will burn an audio DVD. But for notorieties sake I did the math and a DVD will hold 439.25 mins of CD Audio

It varies. Classical CDs can have quite a few since a piece of classical music can have many movements. Arnold Schoenberg's Vekhlate Nacht/Palleas and Mellisande has around 30 tracks overall on a 70 minute CD.

Yet disk 3 from the Genesis Platinum Collection/Foxtrot has Supper's Ready which is around 25 minutes long but the actual song is made up of several smaller parts put together.

The Beatles Abbey Road has a lot of short tracks put together.

I dont think there is a maximum for track numbers, the limit is for the number of minutes.

for example, the 650 MB CD can store 74 minutes of audio tracks, and the 700 MB CD can store 80 minutes of audio

work out the bit rate that you are recording at divide this number into the total mb of the disc that you are using and the number will then be a time and therefore divide the time by the number and length of time each song takes. The smaller bit rate the more songs you will get on a c/d. There is also the issue of format mp3 format will give you more per c/d but the sound quality poorer wma format the best to use, most burning software will tell you how much space you have left to use.

it depends on the size of the tracks but if your music is around the average (3 1/2 mins) you should get around 20 on a 700mb /80min cd

if youre using media player to brn your cd it will tell you before burning it if any of your music wo'nt fit
