my friend does believe in god but not the jesus story. shes really nice and sweet and doesnt do anything bad. i really like her. Im however a Christian and do you think it would be ok to like her and be around her and maybe even love her?

how old are you? that helps...shes not an aethie cuz you said she believes....it might be ok if youre over 40...before that i would say check out Christian girls if youre born again

She sounds like an agnostic instead of an atheist. Either way, the Bible warns against being unequally yoked together with unbelievers. It'll cause lots of problems. Best to just keep her as a friend for now. Pray for her, and just be the best person you can, and don't get all preachy and religious around her. Let her see what's genuine in you, and she may yet be drawn to what you have in Jesus. God bless!

If she believes in a god, she's not an atheist. If she just doesn't believe in Jesus, then she's not a Christian. Thats' ok, billions of people in the world aren't Christians.
Get used to it.

Your friend is not an atheist. Atheism is a lack of belief in gods, you state clearly that your friend believes in god.
Someone who does not believe in Jesus is, well, simply not a Christian. This may come as a shock to you, but 70% of the world is not Christian.

she isnt an atheist or an agnostic. agnostics don't believe in god either. Besides the point, at 14 it's probably not love. Just hang out with her and have fun don't do anything stupid

Theists are those who believe in anythig said by somebody else even without proof .An atheist is one whoi belives ha for everythng to happenin this world , there should be some cause . The athiest always needs some proof for anythng . The atheist is scientific and believes in truth .theists belive in false hood .your decision in regard to her friendship is left to your chioce . As long as it is noit infatuation , it is good As long as you ar enot guided by your ego based on religious beliefs , it will be ok.

Yes I think it would be alright, and I believe if she believes in God and not "the Jesus story", that she is Agnostic, not Atheist :)
Many people of mixed faiths fall in love and have very loving and successful relationships.

She's not Atheist, since she beleives in God. So if you really want to let your religion judge your company for you, at least that's not a strike against her.
Doesn't it make more sense to hang around with people because YOU want to? Surely your faith in a God of love isn't teaching you how to judge against others... or is it?

Of couse its alright to like and love her. As a Christian, I'm sure you will handle the relationship properly. Who knows, with the right role modeling you may convince her to accept Christ.

If she believes in god, she's not an atheist. If she believes in god, but not Jesus, then she is just not christian.
I think it would be ok to fool around with her.
