I wish I could tell you something noble about the reason our Armed Forces are in the Middle East but from your diatribe it seems that your dead set on the idea that this is a Nation of fools. If it is soooooo bad why don't you go to Mexico,Canada,or Europe? The Armed Forces are on the borders now helping the Border Patrol and building the fencing and revetments to keep our Nation of Fools in!
Posse Commentates is why the Armed Forces are not a police force, we can't be used to enforce laws unless Martial law is invoked. Peace unto you and yours, have a thoughtful Memorial Day, Warchild

There has never been a war that some did not view as dumb. Even WWII was seen as some as a waste of American lives. Living in this country you have the right to say what ever you please about American troops. My brother, my father, my uncles and aunts and on back for generations bought you that right. And I helped a little myself. So knock your self out. Say anything you want to about anything you please. It makes me proud that you live in a place were you can.
Yes, makin' mock o' uniforms that guard you while you sleep
Is cheaper than them uniforms, an' they're starvation cheap;
An' hustlin' drunken soldiers when they're goin' large a bit
Is five times better business than paradin' in full kit.
Then it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, 'ow's yer soul?"
But it's "Thin red line of 'eroes" when the drums begin to roll,
The drums begin to roll, my boys, the drums begin to roll,
O it's "Thin red line of 'eroes" when the drums begin to roll.

Those soldiers (and those who came before them) that you call "fools" died so you could have the freedom to say what you just said. Why don't you think on that awhile. mean while I will be praying for those soldiers. They are heroes regardless of your view point.

You know, the funny thing is, if I said something as inflammatory as you and Erudite, and someone like me asked who they were, and where they lived, I would tell the world, because I have the guts to fight for what I think is right. I bet if I asked you who you were, though, you'd hide behind your yahoo ID, wouldn't you?

Think you would say that to my face? Nah. It feels good to say things anonymously on the internet that you would never dare say to an actual soldier. I hope i stole your lunch money when you were a little kid.

They are making sure we're not killed by roadside bombs and IEDs. How dare you insult the greatest military in the world. If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read it in English, thank a soldier.

"A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly against the city. But the traitor moves among those within the gates freely, his sly whispers rustling through all alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears no traitor; he speaks in the accents familiar to his victim, and he wears their face and their garments and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation; he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city; he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared.
The traitor is the plague."
-- Marcus Tullius Cicero,
Roman Orator - 106-43 B.C.
Ahem. Surely you understand I am implying you are the enemy within. Oops, just said it there.
