Game wardens are just as much in danger and put in harms way as your regular beat cops and highway patrolmen. The only difference is that they usually don't have access to back -up in a timely manner. They mostly work alone and are usually outnumbered in most encounters. I was ticketed by slain Game Warden Justin Hurst the second week of last teal season because I forgot to put my plug back in my shotgun after snow goose season. He was upstanding and professional and even let me finish my hunt. I understand he had a job to do and felt no resentment towards him after he handed me my ticket, I actually had more respect for him.

I don't understand what you're asking or implying?

Many jobs are very dangerous. Police officers love to milk the notion that they're putting their lives on the line every single day, but the statistics show quite clearly that anyone working in any kind of heavy industrial type setting stands a much higher risk of being seriously injured or killed on the job.

That's not that much really, 2 guys a year or so?
