I would say inflammation, whatever you ate it irritated your stomach, the mucus came up and out.

This sounds like your bile...your stomach acids or bile...sometimes it is foamy sometimes not...ginger is good for helping this and taking acidophilis helps the stomach acids...oh and more clean fresh water...hope it helps
